Fallen Paper
The challenge
The specific problem we aim to address is the accumulation of fallen leaves in the Netherlands, which pose risks such as bike accidents and disruptions to train services due to their presence on the ground. Our idea is to collect these fallen leaves and repurpose them into bio-products. We plan to focus on two main areas: packaging and fashion materials. Overall, our goal is to not only address the issue of fallen leaves causing accidents and disruptions but also to harness their potential to create valuable bio-products that contribute to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly society.
The solution
In terms of packaging, we aim to create eco-friendly alternatives to traditional packaging materials by utilizing the leaves in innovative ways. This could involve developing biodegradable packaging solutions that reduce environmental impact and offer a sustainable alternative to conventional packaging materials. Additionally, we see an opportunity to explore the use of fallen leaves in fashion materials. By processing the leaves into fibers or other textile components, we can create unique and sustainable parts for clothing and accessories. This approach aligns with the growing demand for eco-conscious fashion options and offers a novel way to repurpose natural resources.
